Tour Overview

Day 1:
Getting To The Base Camp Aru
TIME TAKEN 3, HOURS Srinagar to Aru to Pahalgam 100km The trekkers have to reach Srinagar TRC by 2 30pm from Srinagar TRC we will travel to Pahalgam. Pahalgam is a beautiful place along the bank of the ladder river. From Pahalgam we will travel to Aru which is 12km away. Aru is the fist campsite and we will have the night stay in the Aru camping site.

Day 02
ARU TO LADDERWATALTITRUDE

7,958FT TO 9,131FT TIME TAKEN 6, HOURS 10KM The distance from Aru to Lidderwat campsite is 12km. It is a picturesque beautiful trail along the bank of the scenic Lidder river. It takes approx 6hr to reach the lidderwat campsite from Aru the trekkers must carry 2/3liters of water with them. The first 4km is normal to walk and then gradual ascent. One gets to see a lot of Gujjar huts along the trsil .In the midway there is a dabha where the trekkers can by biscuits /chocolates. After the data, a further walk of 3km will lead to the lidderwat camping site. We will reach the beautiful ladderwat camping site around 2 pm.The ladderwat camping site is a beautiful camping site is full of meadows and is nestled among the mountains all around.

Day 03
LADDERWAT TO SHEKWASALTITUDE

9,131 TO 11O39FT TIME TAKEN 5 HOURS 5KM The first half of the trail from ladderwat to shekwas is an easy to walk and then river crossing. One can see the nomadic Gujjars on the way. There is a dabha, it is a normal midway where one can have Maggie /biscuits After the dabha, it is a normal hike to the shekwas camping site. The camping site is on the bank of the river. The trekkers will be served hot lunch at the shekwas camping site.

Day 04
SHEKWAS TO TARSAR ALTITUDE

11,039FT TO 12,449FT TIME TAKEN 4 HOURS 5 KM The trail crosses through spectacular meadows full of wildflowers. You have to see it to believe it. This is a short hike. You have to cross through many small streams en route. The camping site is on the immigrate bank of the majestic TARSAR Lake. You will be spellbound by the stunning beauty of the TARSAR lake. It is the largest lake in the TARSAR MARSAR trek. The trekkers are advised to put on winter clothes as it will be considerable could in the camping site.

Day 05
TARSAR TO SUNDERSARALTITUDE

12,449FT TO 12,946 FT TIME TAKEN 5 HOURS, 5KM This day is a difficult day on the trek. The trekkers have to climb the TARSAR pass which is the highest point in the trek. The view of the tarsar lake from the top of the tarsar pass is simply mind-blowing. After tarsar pass it is a simple hike through the spectacular meadows till the sundersar lake. We will camp here on the bank of the sundersar lake. Hot lunch will be served at the sundersar camping site. After the lunch we will trek to the MARSAR LAKE will be slow and gradual ascent. Marsar Lake is also one of the most beautiful lakes on the TARSAR MASRSAR trek. One can get mobile networks occasionally around the marsar lake. We will come back to the campsite at sundersar and spent the night there.

Day 06
SUNDERSAR TO SUNAMISTALTITUDE

12,946 FT TO 11,000FT TIME TAKEN 4 HOURS, 5KM The first half of the trail crosses through spectacular green meadows. Then it will be steep descent through the boulders. Then the trail continues along the river till the sonmasti camping site. There are few Gujjar huts in the sonamisti camping site. One can explore the area around the beautiful sonamisti camping site. We will reach around 1 pm hot lunch will be served at the sonamisti camping site. The mobile network would be available from this camping site on words.

Day 07
SONAMIST TO SUMBALALTITUDE

11,000FT TO 8000FT TIME TAKEN 6 HOURS, 7KM We are left with 7km 0f trek only. Need to carry 3/4lt of water as no drinking water source available on the way, will carry our packed lunch. The trek starts with a river crossing on foot, followed by a flat trek of 7 km .at the end of 5km there is a steep hike for a km. After reaching the top there is one more km of the walk to reach the sumbal river, which is the end of the trek. We will spend some time here probably will have our lunch. Our car will be waiting on the other side of the river to take us to Srinagar,80km away. The expected time of arrival at Srinagar is 4 pm.
